I made this for the Sydney Newtown - Break The Bank DJ Competition. This is not the actual set that I played live, that wasn't recorded, this is me recording the set the day before the competition. Only the first 35mins was in the competition, the rest was fun at the time - were fun times indeed!

It's HUMP Day, which totally reminds me of Valentine's day. I never thought I'd ever release this (very loose mix) because it was just for Kim at the time (a bit of Valentine's fun) Its not a proper studio mix at all, in fact, its full of vinyl mishaps but it was made with 100% love on vinyl, made as a romantic gesture to celebrate! In these times, let's forgive the imperfections and just LOVE - YES?

Finally, part 2 is available after the first release in 2013. I actually made 2 different sets in this mix, recorded immediately after I made the first set but I got distracted with new tunes, moving house and life in general. I had always intended to release either a techno mix or the old skool jungle mix (which is the 2nd half mostly), but now I’ve combined them and added a few extra gems for your listening pleasure.

My inspiration for this mix goes out to the DJ’s at Skid Row 2SER Sydney, DJ & Producer Joey Beltram, the evening DJ’s at O’Malley’s Irish Pub Sydney from 92 (Luke Spellbound, Tru-Story, Ming D, Arthur RIP, and others). These were the days! “E” for Energy LOL!
