What starts with the adults reverbs down to the kids when Reverend Alden suggest a new bell for Walnut Grove. Unfortunately, arguing ensues when it can't be determined who or how the bell will be paid for. Local artist/craftsman in residence, Tinker Jones, can't hear the sounds of the anger contingents but can definitely read the body language between the groups.  When the kids take sanctuary at his home but begin to act like the quarreling adults....Tinker Jones has had enough and brings the hammer down.   With one loud crash he can't even hear, Tinker Jones has come up with a solution to unify the town once again and maybe get some peace and quiet around his house.
