We’ve all heard stories of a prophecy, about a hero on the horizon, and a villain, who does everything in his power to change the circumstances. Well, Pastor Dan reminds us today, that it all started with God and Satan. A savior was to be born, so Satan makes his move; he tried to corrupt humans by altering our very DNA. Demons mated with humans and created a whole new race! We can be thankful that God knows all and had the foresight to destroy the world before it and we became unsavable.

Does it ever feel like, no matter how hard you try, you still fall short? We can all relate to failure because we’ve all been through it; we can’t even imagine a perfect life. But today, Pastor Dan reminds us that it wasn’t always that way; there was a time when sin and death weren’t a part of this world. But we all inherit qualities from our family – whether we like it or not – and Adam passed on his sinful nature to all his descendants…including you. Even though sin is rooted in you, there is always hope in Jesus.

Does it ever feel like there’s not enough time in the day? The older we get, the faster time flies. But what if the first hundred years were just the start? Pastor Dan reminds us in today’s message that, in the beginning, humans lived much longer; try 10 times longer. So why has our average life span gone down so significantly, even though we’re more technologically advanced? Because of sin. When sin entered the world, death did as well. No matter how well you live your life, sin is still your nature.

Are you one of those people that feels the need to implement justice when necessary? Many times, we witness things that upset us: people can be rude but successful, they can be cruel but still be popular; sometimes it feels like people never get what they deserve. But today, Pastor Dan reminds us that people DO reap what they sow, but not according to your timeline. God tells us that vengeance is His! All those people that seem to get away with murder…they’ll get what’s coming to them, but you are not the one to dish it out. “Give to the Lord what belongs to Him.”

Does it ever feel like life keeps moving forward, even when you don’t? We tend to ‘go with the flow’ rather than be intentional about our actions and words. There’s a sense of indifference… but that should change once you know Christ. Pastor Dan reminds us today, that everyone has a life before they know God, and that life usually looks unintentional and indifferent, even hopeless. But after meeting the Lord, that indifference falls away. For the first time in your life, you know what it feels like to have hope.

Signs about runaways are plastered everywhere. It is sad to think that the people in the pictures can't...or maybe won't return home. The Bible tells that as Christians we are pilgrims...we are heading home to be with Jesus Christ. In today's message, Pastor Dan describes the punishment for Cain in the Bible. He was condemned to living as a vagabond... a man without a home...Isn't that a terrible thought? It would be awful to be in his position...choose now to follow Christ and always have a home.

Gifts don't always look the same. Some gifts are elaborately wrapped and tied up with ribbons and bows. Other gifts are held out in tiny hands, no wrapping needed. It is not the size that determines a gift's value...the concept is simpler than that. The Bible says every child...every life...is a gift from the Lord. Every person has a purpose and value. In today's message, Pastor Dan teaches about sin and murder takes away the gift of a life. Choose to forgive and reconcile to defeat sin and envy.

Have you ever been completely exhausted only to go to bed and not be able to fall asleep? Maybe you're worried about finances, or parenting decisions, or work-related issues...You've allowed worry and anxiety to creep into your time of rest. Today, Pastor Dan teaches that God doesn't want you to worry. He doesn't want you to be crippled by anxiety. He knows and understands your situation. He's ready to carry your burdens for you. When you feel anxious, pray and trust that Jesus is with you.

A consequence is a result of an action. If you're speeding on the freeway...you get a ticket. If you sleep past your alarm...you miss out on eating breakfast. If you eat junk food...you're sluggish and tired. In today's message, Pastor Dan explains that Adam and Eve faced consequences for disobeying God's command. They ate fruit off the tree that God said never to touch. Their initial blessings became a curse. Instead of enjoying their blessings in the presence of God, they struggled to survive the curse.

People instinctively try to cover their sin. Today, Pastor Dan explains that from the very beginning...after Adam sinned for the first time...he tried to hide his sin from God. Now generation after generation...man's instinct continues to be...to hide their sin. The opposite of that is to confess. In prayer, confess your sins to God. It is impossible to hide from God. He already knows your sin, but still wants your confession. It is crucial for your soul to let evil out and allow it to be replaced with goodness and mercy.
