Huge news over the weekend as NBA legend and human rights activist Bill Russell passed away at age 88. The greatest champion in the history of American team sports, Mr. Russell was the leader of the late 50s into the 60s Boston Celtics. #6 was the leader of the squads that won 11 Championships including 8 straight. He was the top defender/ rebounder in the sport while jump starting the famous Celtics fast break. Mr. Russell was much more than a basketball player, he fought racism and for civil rights from coast to coast. He was a Giant on and off the court. #RIP
