On the morning of March 30th, Facebook shut down the Messenger service for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 forever. Because I rely on Messenger for professional purposes, this made me decide, with little hesitation, that it's time to buy a new phone. However, while I would have liked to upgrade to a Windows 10 phone, I don't think that's a smart choice anymore. So, after 2.5 years of loyalty, I've decided to leave the Windows Phone platform.
