Wow... Just, wow!
This plot was amazing! It was intricate, complex, and heartbreaking. I felt so much for the h. She was an amazing and strong woman in spite of everything. The H was a runner. When things got overwhelming he ran away. I didn't like him much when that happened, but when he finally came back home, he got a lot better.
As usual, the H was not celibate while gone the five years, and the h seemed to have been. He wasn't a man-ho but the current ex-girlfriend ends up being a true psycho. This was just a truly horrible part of the story and it was heartbreaking.
Luckily the ending is a beautiful one. I really liked this story and I'll probably re-read this one. The drama was that good.
One small ripple caused waves that extended out for years
Phenomenal book! An innocent and perfect love then turns two people into shattered fragments of themselves with one horrendous incident. Lonely, aching hearts take their toll and life continues to pelt with devastating pain. But out of desolation comes pure goodness and beauty. Years go by and life gives them a second chance to ignite the fires that burned so bright before. Hearts still need to be mended, trust needs to be restored, the truth needs to be spoken aloud and that goodness and beauty needs to be found. One small ripple caused waves that extended out for years. You won't make a mistake 1-clicking on this one.
At the end of this book all I could hear in my head were the words from Rachel Platten's Fight Song. Those words can work for both Ripley and Brock. Each had to look from within to conquer the evils of their pasts that hung from their necks.
Couldn't put it down!!!
It has been awhile since I read a book I couldn't put down, this one definitely is.
Brock has one night of regret, that changes everything for him and his girlfriend Ripley. Ripley has her own night of regret. Can they forgive enough to more forward with their love.
This is a book that grabs you and doesn't let go. It has some light hearted moments, along with some sexual heat. The author leaves us with a well written, passionate, book. In the end you are pulling for Brock and Ripley to find their HEA.
Great second chance romance!
In the beginning the love between Brock and Ripley was heartwarming and sweet but then some things happen that causes Brock to run. That's when the story changes and turns to heartache for this young couple. Both are now living life separate and have both been through their own tragedies.
