"The Little Pumpkin" tells the story of a pumpkin who worries because he believes he is destined to become a Jack-o'-lantern, but doesn't know how. The sun and wind advise him to focus on being a good pumpkin. Eventually, he grows into the biggest, yellowest pumpkin in the field, attracting the attention of children who choose him to be their Jack-o'-lantern for a feast. The Little Pumpkin is then happy, knowing he has fulfilled his potential and would make Mother Vine proud.

Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up, visits Wendy Darling and her brothers, whisking them away to Neverland, where they have adventures with the Lost Boys. Jealous Tinkerbell tries to turn the boys against Wendy. Captain Hook, seeking revenge on Peter for losing his hand, kidnaps the children. Tinkerbell warns Peter, who rescues them. Homesick, Wendy and her brothers, along with the Lost Boys, decide to return to London, where they are welcomed and adopted. Peter, disappointed by Wendy's choice of a life that leads to adulthood, continues his adventures in Neverland.

"Cinderella" tells the story of a beautiful girl mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters after her mother's death. When the Prince hosts a ball, Cinderella is forbidden to attend. However, a magical bird grants her beautiful dresses and shoes, allowing her to attend the ball for three nights, enchanting the Prince each time. On the third night, she flees, leaving behind a golden shoe. The Prince uses the shoe to find her, recognizing her true beauty and kind heart, and they marry and live happily ever after.

"Hush, Little Baby" is a lullaby where a mother promises to buy her baby a series of increasingly grand gifts - a mockingbird, diamond ring, looking glass, billy-goat, cart and bull, dog named Rover, and a horse and cart - to keep the baby from crying. Ultimately, even if all the gifts fail, the lullaby assures the baby that it will still be loved as "the sweetest little baby in town."

"Uncle Wiggily Goes Swimming" finds the rabbit gentleman, inspired by two young frogs, deciding to take a swim. His dive goes awry, and he gets stuck in the mud, requiring the frogs to rescue him. While relaxing on a raft, Fuzzy Fox attempts to capture Uncle Wiggily to nibble on his ears, but the quick-thinking frogs use the diving board as a catapult to launch a rock, hitting the Fox and saving Uncle Wiggily from a nibbling fate.

"The Little Clock in the Schoolroom" tells the story of an ordinary clock in a schoolhouse that keeps perfect time and stays clean. The children, curious about its consistency, ask their teacher, Mrs. Appletree, for its secret. She explains that the clock's accuracy and cleanliness come from always doing what is right and avoiding trouble. The children realize that they, too, can keep their lives "clean and bright" by emulating the clock and choosing to do good.

"The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck" follows Jemima, a duck determined to hatch her own eggs against the advice of others. She seeks a secluded nesting place and encounters a charming fox who offers her a shed full of feathers. Suspicions arise when the fox requests herbs for an omelette, and Jemima's story is overheard by a collie. The collie investigates, and the fox is run off by fox-hound puppies, but not before the puppies gobble up all of Jemima's eggs. While she eventually is allowed to hatch her own eggs, only a few ducklings emerge, which she blames on her nerves.

In "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree," Pooh hears a buzzing sound and decides it must lead to honey. He tries to climb the tree but falls. Then, he enlists Christopher Robin's help to get a balloon, hoping to float to the honey. However, the bees become suspicious. After a failed attempt at deception with an umbrella and a "Cloud Song," Pooh decides the bees are the wrong sort. Christopher Robin shoots the balloon, and Pooh floats down, but his arms remain raised for a week, possibly leading to his nickname, Pooh.

"The Shepherd Boy and the Wolf" is a classic fable about a boy who, bored with his job, twice falsely cries "Wolf!" to trick the villagers into rushing to his aid. When a wolf actually appears and threatens his sheep, he cries out for help again, but the villagers, having been deceived twice before, ignore his pleas. As a result, the wolf kills many of his sheep, illustrating the moral that liars are not believed even when they tell the truth.

"The Little Mermaid" tells the tale of a young mermaid princess who longs for the human world after falling in love with a prince she rescues from a storm. She makes a deal with a sea witch, trading her voice for legs, hoping to win the prince's love. Despite facing obstacles and heartbreak, including the prince almost marrying the sea witch in disguise, her sisters help her regain her voice.
