Founder of KPC Self Defense est 2005 and one on one control tactics instructor Canadian Director since 2015. Randy holds a certification from "Understanding Violence" through Emory University, "Conflict Communications" instructor by Rory Miller, and the 4th Degree in Modern Arnis. Randy is well-known, especially for FREEZE response education.

What I have coined as the 80/20 philosophy. Today’s self-defense is more sports-based with respect to the opponent versus a way of life. It is my belief that self-defense is 80% cognitive and only 20% physical.
Nia Hartsfield is an ex-navy officer, women’s Self Defense Instructor, and the owner of Hard Candy Self-Defense. She’s an ex-navy officer and has 12 years of training and experience in Cognitive Defense Measures, Firearms Handling and Safety, Kickboxing, Krav maga, and Brazillian jiu-jitsu.

Alice believes that "fear" profiting popular media triggers more primitive areas of the brain that interfere with the general population be able to regulate their life. An example is when the brain senses survival threats from TV. It causes stress that impacts people making life choices that increase the risk of emotional, financial, mental, and physical danger.

Lisa is the President of She Trains You, NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, Glock Certified Armorer, and very passionate about teaching women personal safety in multi-dimensions, including home invasion and non-lethal self-defense.
Right after an attempt armed home invasion happened in her neighborhood, Lisa decided to get certified as an NRA officer and started teaching women in her community. She's passionate about helping women become confident in their personal safety in every way.
Lisa owns several gun clubs and they keep growing. She is also one of the admins of the growing popular Facebook group, "Women, Gun, and Self-Defense" and offers monthly firearm training for free.

I want women to learn the concepts but more than that I want them to learn how to think with a self-defense mindset.
If they can develop awareness in their daily lives they are more likely to be able to come up with ideas and strategies on their own.
So that they can learn to think "What CAN I do" and not focus on what they cannot do in a situation.

More distance you have, the more benefits you have...The ability to detect a possible threat greater than 30 feet is important.
Daphne Robert-Hamilton emphasizes the importance of exercising situational awareness every day. Training for visual cues of threats at 30-50 feet including the environmental cues and individual cues. Do blind scenarios using OODA (orientate, observe, decide, act) Loop then de-briefing afterward in class.
We need to train intuition/observation/decision skills at the 30-50ft boundary to have time to decide the best course of action to avoid a violent encounter. Being caught off guard and having to do hand-to-hand combat means that you were lacking in personal protection skills when it mattered and you had time to avoid the situation.
More development of MINDSET for women. We need to own our own personal safety and realize that help is not going to get there in time.
Teach confidence in walking, teach situational awareness skills, teach body postures to gain confidence, teach voice commands, and setting boundaries. Teach women to have a warrior mindset.
