Kelli Salter is a wife, mom, and real estate broker. She began her real estate career after a stint at a public M&A company and found the pace of start-up life to be just her speed. Kelli opened Anchor Real Estate in 2020, a small independent real estate brokerage in Jacksonville, North Carolina, focusing on the client experience and catering to the transient military community of Camp Lejeune. Kelli owns a real estate brokerage, a property management company, a mortgage company, and her husband owns a contracting business. Between the companies, the team focuses on true end to end services for all their client's real estate needs. Kelli has a passion for new real estate brokers, as seen at both her brokerage and in her work as a CheplakLive real estate coach. Kelli believes real estate is the vehicle we can use to live life to the fullest and it's her mission to show that to as many agents as possible.

In this episode we chat about her experience in real estate the last 7 years, how she loves working with and supporting other working moms, and why for her superpower she said she has agility. She talks about the importance of showing up in the moment as who you need to be.

Craig has a background in a career with designing exhibits and life support systems for zoos and aquariums. He loves working with animals. He is married and has two grown kids. His family enjoys being on the beach, snorkeling, diving, and enjoys getting involved in projects like helping with the South Carolina Sea Turtle Patrol. Craig has been in the real estate business for about 5 years and sees it being something that he does for a while. He enjoys working with his clients and helping them through their housing process.

Craig and I talk a lot about his career background and how he got into real estate. We also talk about the many hobbies his family has, his love of looking for and collecting shells, and why he sees real estate being his career for a while. Craig rises up in his life by literally "rising up" early everyday. He enjoys getting a fast start to the day and feels that routine is helpful in his success.

Born in Durham, North Carolina, Kristin made her way to Myrtle Beach in May of 2007 after graduating from college at UNC-Wilmington where she received her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Film Studies & Sociology, which brought her to Myrtle Beach where she worked for the local FOX TV station (WFXB) as a producer for six years. During that time she also served as a judge for the 2010 Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolina Awards. Her time in television was followed by a brief stint as content & video producer at a local marketing firm where she honed the skills needed to help market & sell real estate.

In January of 2014 she was offered an opportunity that she couldn't resist: get her real estate license & partner with one of the most experienced & successful agents on the beach: Kirk Nobles, at RE/MAX Southern Shores. She began as an unlicensed assistant, then a licensed assistant, and then a buyers' agent. Kristin married her husband, Chris, in April of 2015. Two years later, they welcomed their first daughter: Herper, and Kristin decided to venture out on her own in the real estate industry. In May of 2019, Chris and Kristin's second daughter: Mabel was born and completed their family, along with their two dogs: Walker & Memphis. During her time with RE/MAX Southern Shores, Kristin has earned her way to Platinum Club and RE/MAX Hall of Fame.

On this episode we talk about the opportunity that led her to step into real estate, living by the coast and how she deals with hurricane season, and how going to the gym is one way she rises up. Kristin also talks about how business is like the "spaghetti sticking". If you keep doing the right things, your hard work will pay off.

1. What is their motive? Why are they calling?
2. Why did they call YOU?
3. What is their offering?
4. What was your mindset just before the phone rang?
5. What do you want to have an effective business?

When you listen to the episode, we will break each of these down and help you see why these are important to ask ourselves. It takes some humbling and being honest with ourselves, but it's necessary for you to make change and be successful.

In this episode, we learn more about Sammie and his incredible journey to entrepreneurship. We talk about when business isn't going well, an individual is usually struggling or distracted in their personal life. We talk about the importance of building relationships and asking people about their personal life first. Sammie also shares with us a nugget of wisdom about writing down his thoughts and things he needs to do before he goes to sleep so that he can hit the pillow and have a restful sleep. The single most important accomplishment in his life was dating his wife 48 years ago as a couple at 16 yr olds. They've been married for 43 years. They have two sons and two grandchildren.

After over 18+ years in corporate America with AT&T, Hartford Insurance, Bryan Foods-a division of Sara Lee, he turned his sites to entrepreneurship.

He spent the last 25 + years as an owner, managing member, and operator in the entrepreneurial space of the outdoor industry, an owner of five Remax offices, Motto Mortgage, Summit Property Management, Oxford Appliance Repair, and three real estate investment companies. He also has his own consulting coaching firm, focused on consulting in areas of operations, sales and marketing strategies that fit the staff and the entity.

He has worked with many fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and small businesses in over 60 countries from manufacturing, printing, operations, marketing, supply chain and logistics.

Sammie says, "The key to success is placing the value on the single most important resource we have, PEOPLE, they truly make the difference. My belief in people came from my Dad, he believed there is greatness in all people. They sometimes need help getting out of their own way."

Kristen Jones was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Georgia Tech in 1996 with a degree in industrial & systems engineering. After several years as a change management consultant with Accenture, she joined her mom in real estate at RE/MAX Professionals.

Megan Wyatt, also born and raised in Atlanta, attended Presbyterian College and holds dual degrees in accounting and economics. After college, she began selling real estate with Kristen.

Lori started her career as a real estate paralegal, then began working for a builder and a developer, managing their respective closing departments. In 2009, her life-long dream of selling real estate full-time finally came true, and she's never looked back. Lori earned the ABR, SFR, SRES, RSPS, RENE, and CDPE designations, and her extensive background, skills, and training give her the edge required when representing both buyer and seller clients.

She was married to her high school sweetheart, Bill, for almost 38 years before sadly losing him earlier this year to a long illness. She has two amazing daughters, Kerri & Courtney, Kerri's wonderful husband, Brandon, and their adorable son Finn, and they are expecting a little girl this November. She shares her life and home with two doodles. Hope is a 5-year-old Goldendoodle, and Dempsey is a 4-year-old Irishdoodle.
