"This is a story from Shiv Puran. Once Narad Muni went to the Himalayas to meditate on Shivji. He chose a cave which was beautifully placed near the Ganga River. He sat there and meditated as his meditation grew. Indra got scared that he will take over his throne. So he sent Kamdev to disturb his penance. But Kamdev, despite all his efforts could not disturb Narad Muni's penance. The reason was that that area was the area or Kshetra where Shivji himself had meditated."
