Memorial Day weekend is here - a time for reflecting upon the ultimate sacrifices made by our American service men and women, and by their respective families.
The crew at RisingApple.com salutes you all.
The upcoming holiday weekend is also the first traditional checkpoint of the baseball season. From the outside looking in, the New York Mets seem to be in relatively good shape. They're eight games over .500, they just took two of three games from the Nationals, and therefore within whispering distance of first place.
Mets fans, however, are starting to get a little restless in the seat. Injuries to positional players are beginning to mount, and Matt Harvey's performance to date has been outright distressing.
Episode #133 of the Rising Apple Report will attempt to answer the proverbial question - is the Mets glass half full, or half empty? Rising Apple staff writers Michael Lecolant and Rich Sparago will co-host this evening's Metsian discussion.
In keeping with Saturday's celebration of the 1986 Mets at Citi Field, Mike and Rich will also offer their personal recollections of 30 years ago.
Thursday evening's show starts at 9:00pm sharp!
As always, you are welcome to call at 646-929-0337 and join the conversation.
