Humbly Accept | Look Intently | Do What It Says

Our new series is in the book of James, one of the most practical and easy to understand books of the Bible, yet also one of the most difficult to actually live out on a daily basis. One of the questions we asked ourselves this past week was "Do you truly want to be mature, full-grown in your faith?"

As we celebrate the fathers in our community of faith at RISING Church we are reminded of the ultimate father. We are given opportunity to call him ABBA Father. What an incredible freedom.

Sarah shares her personal story of faith, perseverance and trusting God for more than she can see at this present time. This is such a great story from someone who all know so well.

As we wrap up the series this week we are challenged with the question, "Can Jesus become to familiar?" We will look at the encounter Jesus' brothers had with him as well as concluding our personal stories of encounters with Jesus while in Israel with Lynne Litchfield

Jesus encountered three of the most powerful men in the world at the time on the same day. From these encounters we can see the reaction of these leaders to this encounter.
We will also hear the stories of personal encounters from Jean and Sherry Parets who were able to join the Israel trip earlier this spring.

We are continuing our series with people who have encountered Jesus in the Bible as well as today. We are sharing the encounter of Robin Auer from her time in Israel this last spring.

The encounters with Jesus series continues this week as we hear from Tommy and Julie Terrell as well as the story of the woman at the well.

We are introduced to Legion, someone you might have thought was outside God's reach. You will also hear the encounters that Trish and Ken had on their recent trip to Israel.

We are kicking off a new 6 week series and we're excited to highlight the team that spent time in Israel this past spring and have them share their encounter with Jesus while on that trip.
