  • Action #1: Acceptance — Grounding in What Is

We’ve arrived at the final step of the Shame Shifter Method: Action.

But what if the first Action isn’t immediately doing or changing something?

What if the first Action is simply to stop, ground ourselves in what is here right now, and accept it?

In this first episode of Action, we explore Acceptance not as resignation, approval, or giving up—but as becoming present with reality before deciding what comes next.

Beginning with the **Root Chakra—Earth, grounding, containment and self-preservation—we explore what happens when we stop fighting the ground beneath our feet and listen to what our body and our present circumstances are actually telling us.

I also share how living with a body changed by a near-death car accident has taught me to experience pain differently: sometimes as a bell calling me back into my body, back into the present, and back to what I truly need.

Because perhaps before we can consciously choose where to go next, we first have to stop and accept where we are.

    Earth. Water. Fire.
    Ground. Flow. Choose.

And for Action #1, we begin with Earth:

Stop. Ground. Accept what is here. Then choose what comes next.

  • Anticipation - When Love Requires a Different Choice
We’re continuing our journey through the Shame Shifter Method—Awareness, Anticipation, and Action—learning how building these practices into our daily lives can help shift us from fear-based thinking, that feels dense and heavy, toward a heart and soul-centered way of life, that enriches, fulfills, and expands love.

In this final episode on Anticipation, Nadia share's one of the biggest choices she and her family have had to face: preparing to move her 91-year-old mother from her home into a new living residence.
Nadia could anticipate her fear, sadness and resistance—and the guilt, hurt and old patterns the reaction might awaken in me. But Anticipation gave me an opportunity to prepare differently: to stay grounded, make room for her feelings with compassion, and recognize that her fear did not have to become mine.

And then something happened on moving day that none of our worried minds had anticipated.

This episode is about discovering that Anticipation doesn't have to mean fearing what's coming. It can mean preparing ourselves to stay rooted in love when it arrives. Often, what waits on the other side of fear, is love. We just gotta choose to see it!

  • Anticipation - Staying Rooted in Your Own Energy
In this episode, Nadia continues our journey through the Shame Shifter Method—Awareness, Anticipation, and Action - a powerful tool that can turn codependent-like patterns into deeper awakening and consciousness.

In this second episode on Anticipation, we explore how greater awareness of our own emotions and patterns can also help us become more conscious of the energy we experience around others.

What happens when we walk into a room and immediately feel someone else’s fear, anxiety, anger, or intensity? Can we notice it with compassion without automatically absorbing it?

Through story, chakra psychology, and simple grounding practices, we explore Anticipation as an opportunity to prepare—not with fear, but with greater consciousness, healthy protection, and energetic containment - replacing codependency with living consciously.

WE CAN stay openhearted without losing ourselves.

WE CAN witness what belongs to another while remaining grounded in what belongs to us.

WE CAN keep returning Home Within to consciously witness life unfold and allow for deeper awakening.

REMEMBER: I am on this journey with you, applying these practices in my daily life.

Some days are easier than others. Just know that when I say "WE" - I mean it. So send me a DM or email to let me know how you're applying these tools in your own life and joining our collective rise from shame!

    Always Rising,
    Nadia

  • Awareness - My Body Gets a Voice, Too

What happens when Awareness moves out of the mind and into the body?
While studying Chakra Psychology and working toward staying rooted in the heart, Nadia begins noticing something she can no longer ignore: her body has been participating in the conversation all along.
Against the backdrop of caregiving, motherhood, PTSD symptoms, nervous-system overload, physical pain, and an unexpected COVID diagnosis, this episode explores what Nadia describes as an embodied shift—the moment an insight stops being something we understand and begins changing how we actually live.
Through the lens of Root Chakra work and the lower triangle of survival, attachment, and control, Nadia asks whether love and capacity might be two different things.
Can we deeply love the people in our lives while acknowledging that our bodies have limits?
Can we create boundaries without making someone else wrong?
Can self-preservation actually be an expression of love?
And what happens when we stop requiring our bodies to completely break down before we're willing to listen?
Your body gets a voice, too.

  • Awareness - Who Inside Me Is Answering?
Before asking, “What should I do?” what if we first asked, “Who inside me is answering?”

In this deeply personal episode of Rising From Shame, Nadia explores the identities that can quietly make our decisions for us: the wounded child seeking approval, the Savior who needs to rescue, and the Warrior who has learned to survive by solving impossible problems.

As Nadia wrestles with one of the hardest decisions of her life—how best to care for her aging mother—she begins recognizing how love, guilt, approval, sacrifice, and identity can become intertwined.

What happens when the qualities that once helped us survive begin costing us our ability to fully live?

This episode explores Awareness not as fixing or changing ourselves, but as learning to recognize who is driving before deciding where we're going.

Maybe the Warrior doesn't need to die.

    Maybe she gets to rest.
