There just might be a light taking shape at the end of our very long pandemic tunnel.......and that light is care of several promising vaccine candidates that are on their way from the laboratory ..... and into your arm.

We're going to spend much of the first hour of In Depth breaking down the COVID vaccine options: the differences between the candidates from Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca, how they work and when we can expect them to become available.

When I say "testing" you're probably immediately thinking about COVID testing, which happens to be in insanely high demand right now; but "testing" also encompasses just about every other type of medical test, and supplies for those tests are scarce.

In non-pandemic news: L.A. County's new DA George Gascon came into office with reforms a'blazing..........but in satisfying progressive voters that helped put him in office, did he alienate many of his own prosecutors?

And Joe Biden making some more choices - maybe unconventional - choices for his cabinet and administration, we'll get an update on the transition.

Just about one year ago, we started to hear about a mysterious new virus in China. It was killing lots of people and doctors were having a hard time figuring out what it was and how people were getting it. Let's fast forward to now--that virus has spread all around the world. Drug companies are getting ready to roll out the COVID-19 vaccines. And that's got the interest of some shadowy entities out there. IBM says someone or some group started a cyberespionage effort to try to gather important information on the World Health Organization’s initiative for distributing the vaccine to developing countries.

Pfizer is preparing to distribute its vaccine all around Great Britain following that country's quick approval. Will things look and be handled the same here in the U.S.? 

Governor Newsom has just modified COVID rules for parts of the state getting hit hard by the virus. This comes after LA Mayor Eric Garcetti put out new stay-at-home orders. Will people finally follow the guidelines now? Or is even more action needed?

People who get the vaccines will be given cards that show they were vaccinated. What will they look like and how will they work? 

And can they legally be required? In fact, can the government force people to get vaccinated? 

President Trump posted a 46-minute video of what appears to be him delivering a speech about the election in which he claims election fraud among other things.

The COVID vaccine candidate from Pfizer not only got quick emergency use authorization from the government in the UK --- but doses of the vaccine could be ready to be administered within days or weeks. Back here in the United States.... there is still no approval for use. Why the lag in America? We will go In Depth.

LA is now asking visitors to fill out a new travel form that advises them of the state's 14-day quarantine recommendation. But are people really going to bother?

This pandemic just has a way of ruining things. President Trump made a rare public appearance today, but took no questions and declared again that he won the election. Which, of course, is not accurate. So what to do with a president who, over two weeks after election day, is not only refusing to concede his loss but digging in? We'll do a deep dive on that.
