Hidden abuse doesn't leave physical marks. It lives in the unseen. And yet our bodies feel it, our spirits know it, and our brains ultimately pay the price.

In this foundational episode, Margaret Byars, LPC, walks through the clinical definitions behind the terms you may have heard: gaslighting, DARVO, emotional manipulation, verbal abuse, spiritual abuse, and cognitive dissonance, and gives you the real-life picture of what each one actually looks like inside Christian communities.
