Self-Care For The Soul

Rising Up after Persecution

Listen Later

This weekend is the celebration of Passover, Easter and Mid-Sha’ban. The holy days of three traditions signify the beginning of new life after difficulties.

Passover is the celebration of the liberation of Jews from slavery in Egypt. Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb after being persecuted and crucified. Mid-Sha’ban is the night when Muslims ask for forgiveness for past mistakes and for help with difficulties to begin a new life of virtue for the coming year. This weekend also brought us a spectacular full moon. Astrologically this moon signifies an opening for exploring our values and aligning with what is most important for us in our deep hearts.

Now is a time for rising up, a time to release ourselves from the past, and a time to reflect on what is most significant for beginning a new life. What would you like to release from your past? What are the values you hold most dear in your heart? How do you want to live out the coming year and beyond?

In today’s Prayer & Healing Circle, we’ll explore these questions. We’ll do a practice to release ourselves from the bonds of past oppression, hardship and mistakes. We’ll touch into the deep heart to feel and align with what we most value. And we’ll make prayers and intentions for the life we want to live.

You’re invited to join us. As always, you are welcome to bring your prayers for personal struggles, challenges of and with those you care about, for peace, for fulfillment, and for the health and sustainability of our planet. Bring whatever is on your heart. Come as you are, receive, heal and grow. Please invite your friends to join us, too.
