There's no shortage of advice on the internet about how to heal depression. Today's podcast is about depression, but instead of advice, you'll hear a story about one person's battle with it. And because this person is a relationship and life coach himself, you'll be able to draw your own conclusions about moving through depression.

In late 2013, I met Aaron Steinberg. He was a relationship counselor and my marriage was at the brink of divorce. Now, my marriage is better than I could have ever imagined, and Aaron is a huge reason why. What I didn't know was that at the exact time Aaron was helping us, he was also going through the toughest time in his life. He was depressed, struggling to get out of bed every day. Today, he shares his story.
I recently read a statistic that said that less than 50% of couples report being happy with their sex lives. I wanted to know why this happens and what we can do about it, so I called up Alexandra Stockwell, a physician turned Sex & Intimacy expert who has been featured in Cosmopolitan, USA Today, and InStyle. She is the author of Uncompromising Intimacy, creator of several online programs and The Marriage Podcast, as well as a private mentor. I decided to put my relationship to the test as well, and she walks me through the steps of how to have better sex in a long-term relationship.

The best risks were taken when you weren't sure you were ready. They were ones where you said, "I could fail, but deep down, I know this is the step I need to take." Remember that the next time you get the chance to go for it.
I took a risk and guess what? I was still scared and insecure. It took a courageous young woman from Louisiana to remind me that it's totally normal.
