In this episode, I will discuss my thoughts on how caring the pain of your past can weigh down your future. Sometimes it is as simple as letting it go but first, we must understand the root cause of why we’re still holding on in the first place. Proverbs 17:24 will support my way of thinking and give insight on the importance of wisdom being your navigation device through these seasons.

In this episode we will break down the importance of doing the hard things. Hebrews 12:11 explains that discipline seems grievous and painful but yields a peaceful fruit of righteousness. Our discipline reinforces our habits, therefore setting the foundation to remain consistent in doing the hard things.

On this episode, we will discuss being content with what right now holds. Showing gratitude for the present moment generates a sense of peace that only can be obtained through mindfulness. We will also talk about the fact that sometimes the peace that we are consistently searching for is already inside of us. We conclude this episode reading Matthew 11: 28 - 30 and breaking down the term yoke.

Understanding who you are can seem complex but it’s actually found through patience & understanding. It resides outside of accomplishments, family, & your occupation.

The foundation of understanding who we are is found in Psalm 139:14. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” NIV.

Being Fearfully (yare) & Wonderfully (pala) made means that human beings are handcrafted by God with deep intention, exact purpose, and awe-inspiring complexity.

So, who are you?

This episode is me reflecting on starting a podcast and finally publishing my first episode. I also want to show gratitude for those who gave me constructive criticism. The message I wanna leave my audience with after listening to this episode is that faith without works is dead. The first step of overcoming anything you fear in this life is taking action. What is a fear that you have in this life that you also feel has control over you?

I’m so excited to publish my very first episode of many to come. On this episode I will be introducing myself and my process of starting a podcast. I will also be speaking on my perspective of peace of mind with Psalms 23:2 to support my thought process.
