NeotropiK Vol. I nace desde las ideas del Sur Global y de la curiosidad por explorar los confines rítmicos que todavía no han sido descubiertos. Una búsqueda sin límites ni fronteras, donde los ritmos, las culturas y las ideas puedan encontrarse de formas inesperadas, mirando hacia el futuro.

En esta primera entrega, 3 artistas inmigrantes radicados en Francia comparten las ideas de Chile, Congo y Kenia con El Extravagante, Mapipo Yeyo y Siri Suri, respectivamente —Latinoamérica y África—, dialogando con las visiones de una comunidad internacional de remixers provenientes de cuatro continentes, creando un encuentro musical difícil de predecir y prácticamente imposible de reproducir.

En una época donde la inteligencia artificial hace que gran parte de la música parezca cada vez más genérica, NeotropiK Vol. I fue creado 100% a mano, con voces reales e instrumentos grabados en el estudio, sin utilizar inteligencia artificial en ningún momento del proceso, valorando la libertad y la magia del error humano, y cruzando culturas que pocas veces se encuentran de esta forma.

NeotropiK Vol. I is born from the ideas of the Global South and from the curiosity to explore rhythmic frontiers that have yet to be discovered. A search without limits or borders, where rhythms, cultures and ideas can meet in unexpected ways, looking towards the future.

In this first installment, three immigrant artists based in France bring together the ideas of Chile, Congo and Kenya with El Extravagante, Mapipo Yeyo and Siri Suri respectively — Latin America and Africa, engaging in dialogue with the visions of an international community of remixers from four different continents, creating a musical encounter that is difficult to predict and practically impossible to reproduce.

At a time when artificial intelligence is making much of music feel increasingly generic, NeotropiK Vol. I was created 100% by hand, with real voices and instruments recorded in the studio, without using artificial intelligence at any stage of the process. It embraces the freedom and magic of human error, bringing together cultures that rarely meet in this way.

A sonic statement from Ritmos del Sur and El Extravagante, for everyone who appreciates the unusual, the magical and the unexpected.

Reflecting this spirit, the EP invites listeners to reconnect with nature, memory, and the invisible forces that unite cultures across continents. This release is where electronic grooves meet ancestral music from across the world. Blending Organic House and downtempo textures with influences from Indian, Amazonian, and Native American musical cultures, the EP creates a rich and immersive journey. Desde el primer momento me inspiró un ritmo que invitaba a bailar; cada vez que le daba play, podía escuchar ese groove en mi cabeza.Me animé a probar y nació esta maqueta.
