There is nothing special about us that God might want to make himself known to us. Yet God choses us by His grace.

John begins our new series Humans looking at our identity in Christ. God created us for relationship with Him.

John reminds us that like in the days of Noah, people in our neighbourhood are going about oblivious to the fact Jesus will return soon. He encourages us that we are called as the people of God to build a study boat into which those far from God can be rescued.

This is the first of two Vision talks for the start of 2017. John speaks about God's desire to walk with us through the year as his companions, in intimacy with him, not simply to regard ourselves as his tools.

Jesus coming into the world declares to us all that the life we have ben seeking, hoping for, dreaming of has arrived!

Isaiah 55:5 says that as we display the life of Christ, the splendour of the King, nations will gather to us. We are to be a church that gathers those from the nations of the world, even nations we don't know about, and in turn be sent out to the nations of the world to be a blessing.

The River of Life in Ezekiel 47 meets the seas and its fresh water begins to remove the salt from the sea. The sea was so salty nothing could live. The River brings life to dead places. Jesus intended his people to be those of influence who's words and actions bring life to dead places in our city.

Luke reminds us that Jesus sent out his disciples to pray for the sick and gave them authority to pray and see sickness and disease leave (luke 9:1-6).
