Twenty years. Countless lives changed. And God is still writing the story.

In this special 20th Anniversary Service, we celebrate what God has done through River of Life Church and honor the faithfulness of Pastors Mike and Kristy through every season of ministry.

These messages remind us that longevity doesn’t happen by accident. There are seasons of opportunity, seasons of opposition, moments of breakthrough, and moments when quitting would make sense. But faithfulness means continuing to hear God, obey His voice, and trust Him with what comes next.

In Acts 26, Paul could look back on everything he had endured and say, “To this day I have had the help that comes from God.” His perseverance wasn’t a testimony to his own strength—it was a testimony to the God who sustained him.

That same truth is at the heart of 20 years of ROLC.

There have been good days.
There have been hard days.
There have been seasons when quitting would have been easier.

But they remained—and because they remained, countless people have been impacted.

We are reminded in 2 Corinthians 4 that we may be afflicted, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down—but we are not destroyed. The power that keeps us standing has never belonged to us. It belongs to God.

So today we celebrate the past, but we also look toward the future.

Thank God for 20 years.
Thank God for His faithfulness.
Thank God, we’re still standing.
And the story isn’t finished yet.

You don’t always know what’s truly inside something until pressure is applied.

Olives release oil when they’re crushed. Grapes release juice under pressure. And when life squeezes us through disappointment, grief, betrayal, fear, or uncertainty, what has been stored in our hearts begins to come out.

In this message, “What Is Truly in You?”, we look at what difficult seasons reveal about our relationship with God—and how the Holy Spirit gives us something deeper to draw from when life becomes overwhelming.

Through Scripture and the life of David, we see that hardship doesn’t have to leave us bitter, cynical, fearful, or defeated. God wants His Word written on our hearts and His Spirit living within us so that when pressure comes, faith, strength, trust, and dependence on Him are what rise to the surface.

David experienced rejection, loss, betrayal, failure, family turmoil, and seasons where everything around him seemed to fall apart. Yet he continually returned to one truth: the Lord was with him.

Pressure will reveal what has been planted inside you.

So the question is not simply, “What are you going through?”

The question is: What is truly in you?

It’s one thing to experience change. It’s another thing to stay changed.

In this message from our Stay-Cation Series, we look at what it takes to continue becoming the person God has called us to be. Following Jesus isn’t a one-time moment of transformation—it’s a lifetime of allowing God to mold, shape, correct, and lead us.

Through the picture of the potter and the clay in Jeremiah 18 and the story of Naaman in 2 Kings 5, we see that lasting transformation requires something from us: surrender and obedience.

Sometimes God’s process won’t look the way we expected. His instructions may seem inconvenient, uncomfortable, or even unnecessary. But if we want the life God has for us, we have to trust the hands of the One shaping us.

God isn’t finished with you.

Keep pursuing Him.
Keep surrendering.
Keep obeying.
Keep allowing the Potter to shape the clay.

Don’t just get changed. Stay changed.
