Rumination causes us to lose sight of the truth. Instead of seeing ourselves the way God sees us, we see other stuff. Stuff that isn’t true. And we live in regret and shame from our past. Rehashing what we did… where we went… what we said…
Isolation and comparison can be detrimental to us when we face depression and anxiety. Yet, when we need relationships the most, we move away from other people and compare our everyday lives to someone’s highlight reel. God never intended for us to handle life on our own, and has made you to be you!
Is feeling physical pain a gift or a curse? The truth is, pain alerts us when something is wrong in our bodies and we need it to survive. Depression and anxiety can act in the same way—to alert us that something is out of balance in our lives. What areas in your life are out of balance?
Statistically, you or someone you know has experienced depression and anxiety at some point in their life. This is a massive issue in our world today and Christians are not immune to experiencing it in their lives! So, what does the Bible say about it? In this new series we explore the life of a man in the Bible that experienced depression, but also experienced God caring and comforting him in a powerful way! God knows what you’re going through, and He loves you!
Every commitment in life has a cost, and Jesus asks us to count the cost of following Him. Today, we get to hear powerful stories of people that have counted the cost to leave behind their old life and say, “I have decided to follow Jesus,” as they are water baptized!
Jesus is the best news the world has ever heard! And every one of us needs to do our part, even if it’s not comfortable or easy.
The book of Ephesians tells the Church to make every effort to be and stay united, because a broken and divided church cannot heal a broken world. As we are united and put Jesus at the center of our lives, we can see a change in our local communities!
The early church spread the news of Jesus’ love, not with theology and good preaching, but how they served others around them with selfless living. How could we affect our neighbors, coworkers, and community today by living a selfless life?
Have you ever wondered how others experience God in a powerful way and have lasting life change? Someone in our church family shares their journey of healing in their life that started with the pursuit of God. If we want to experience God, we need to take a step toward the beautiful relationship with Him that He intended for us to have!
Sin is seldom talked about in today’s culture and yet it has the power to destroy your life. The good news is God can heal and restore what is broken because of His love for us! Listen as we hear from someone in our church family share how their life was destroyed by sin, but redeemed by the love and grace of God!
