One day believers will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to receive rewards for all that they have done for the Lord. Jesus is coming back soon, so Christians are called into obedience to share the Gospel with a heartfelt desire to see many receive Jesus as Lord and be saved from hell.

All believers have great hope for life after death. For we are awaiting a day when we will receive glorified bodies and an eternal home with Jesus. Eternity isn’t great because of the blessings we receive, but because we get to spend eternity with Jesus.

Christians do not lose heart in the face of hardships. In light of eternity, they are but light and momentary troubles in comparison to the far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory in the life to come.

While Moses was receiving the 10 commandments from God, the Israelites quickly fell away into idolatry by forcing Aaron to craft a golden calf. In doing so, they broke the first three commandments by worshipping this golden calf instead of God.

Paul admonished that believers in Christ are like cracked jars, yet they contain an invaluable treasure: Jesus Himself. Believers may experience trials for bearing witness to the Gospel, yet the Father will hold them up for His own glory.

Today we learn that the gospel is veiled to those who are perishing. We are not the hero of our salvation story. Jesus is the hero and we’re bondservants.
