At the end of chapter 23 we saw Jesus dismissing the religious leaders and the many Jews who followed them instead of Jesus. He announced that their house is left desolate. They’re going to come to ruins. And from that point on Jesus no longer spoke to the crowds or addressed the nation of Israel publicly. They were sadly now in a time of judgment. But this didn’t mean that Jesus was silent. In fact, in these last few days before He went to the cross, He spoke many things that are incredibly important for His disciples and us. Today we get into the Olivet Discourse, a section of Scripture that is prophetic in nature and revealing the days leading up to Jesus’ return.
