In 2 Samuel we see that the civil war between the house of Saul and David continues, however David's kingdom grows while his rival's grows weaker.  Soon Abner the military might behind Saul's house extends an olive branch of peace and offers to join David.  The story unfolds as Joab soon comes across this pact and takes revenge on Abner for the death of his younger brother.  Joab living off anger and rage gets even on Joab, a life of revenge and eye for an eye leaves everyone blinded.  Grab your bible and lets unpack these text together and study!

A good and wonderful song breaks forward as the infant Jesus is seen in the temple   Simeon and old devout man by the power of the Holy Spirit sees his redemption in the temple that certain day.  He holds hope in his arms and sings over him!  Simeon hasn't seen him grown, walking on water, nor seen him feed the masses with just a few fish and loaves.  However he had faith and sings from the place of faith!  Anna, soon finds Jesus and the young mother with her husband in the temple and she joins in the song as well.  Redemption has come for his people!  Grab your bible and lets study together!
