If we are going to answer the call to make better and more disciples, we need an intro to discipleship. Session One – Christ promises rest, but don’t stop there.

We know we need to study the Bible, pray, and be part of a church – but why? Malachi tells us what’s at stake.

Haggai writes: God’s people have come home. But the primary thing that identifies them as the center of their lives, lies in ruin, while they all deal with their own lives. Put God first!

Habakkuk writes, “The Sovereign Lord is my strength;” We think we are in control. But we are all just one life event from our whole lives falling apart.

Nahum describes a good God who is just, a world of evil that will not go unanswered, and good news that will not go un-proclaimed.

Obadiah asks – in whose might, in whose prosperity, and in whose wisdom do we take pride, and find our identity?

Micah challenges us to remember who God is, what He’s done, and who that makes us.

If our church is listening to Amos, and if we do not develop an ethic to do God’s Justice with each person, and we choose to keep celebrating, do not be surprised on the day when our doors close.

… I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
