God’s sufficiency in our suffering produces Christian maturity, brotherly affection, 

and divine blessing.

Humble self-examination should be the regular practice of genuine Christians.

A faithful church disciplines members who live in unrepentant sin.

Take heart, your present affliction is driving you to the grace of the mighty Messiah.

Unrepentant sin in the church causes tremendous problems and pain.

We should live for God’s approval, not man’s.

We can boast in our weakness because, through it, we experience the sufficiency of God’s grace.

Fools boast in what they think they can accomplish in their strength, but
the faithful boast in what they know God will do in their weakness.

In your sin, God is against you. But in Christ, God is for you.

We must learn to recognize those who appear to serve Christ but are servants of Satan.
