The Department of Social Affairs and Health in Monaco has announced the opening of the autumn vaccination campaign against Covid-19. The government said that it is strongly recommending that people aged 65 and over and people at risk of serious illness get the vaccination in order to protect themselves. Any Monegasque, Monegasque resident, social security holder of the Principality or child attending school in Monaco aged 12 or over can now be vaccinated. More details are available on the website www.covid19.mc
At the same time the seasonal flu vaccination is also available in the Principality's pharmacies with or without a medical prescription, any interested person can be vaccinated directly on site or obtain the vaccine and contact their general practitioner or, if applicable, a private nurse to carry out the procedure (in the office or at home).
It should be noted that it is also possible to carry out a simultaneous flu/covid-19 vaccination, with a general practitioner or pharmacist.
The Prince's Government would like to reiterate that, in order to be effective, vaccination against seasonal flu must be carried out before the arrival of influenza viruses. In addition, this vaccination is strongly recommended for people considered fragile (the elderly, pregnant women, people with chronic diseases).
Still popular with young people and teenagers, Halloween has become a special date in the Principality with several events organised by the Monaco Town Hall. Including the 12th edition of the big Halloween game at Princess Antoinette Park from 2 p.m. to 5:30pm online registration is required in order to choose your time slot, the Halloween Party at Espace Léo Ferré reserved for schools and residents of the Principality 6pm to 10pm and an evening of adventure at the Botanical Center for children aged 8 and over again registration is required.
