RiZing Tide

If you are looking for an amazing story of someone who has overcome challenging circumstances and is not only thriving but actually changing the world, then you just found it with CHS student Dawson Hayes! 

Today's guests were recommended by Mr. Frank Harrison who teaches a unique course that has been a long-standing tradition at Concord High School.  After taking the course last year, both Cali and Sophia have served as student leaders this year.  They are both wonderful ambassadors for the program and are loaded with stories to tell.

RiZing Tide hits the road in this episode and records in front of an audience.  Today's guest shares her perspective on the influence of social media on younger students and cell phone policies in high schools.  Nora and Kelly, this episode's co-host, boldly express their thoughts on both of these hot-button topics in front of an audience of superintendents and school principals!

Our guest for this episode is the first to be officially recommended by another student.  And it was a fine recommendation indeed.  Shaun is one of those special human beings who walks among us at Concord High School, spreading cheer, lifting spirits and finding ways to make others feel valued.

Recently featured in both the Concord Monitor and New Hampshire Chronicle, today's guest has been garnering a lot of well-deserved attention for her accomplishments.  And we're so excited that she was able to join us for a chat.  Esha is an amazing person who is selflessly using her talents to make our world better.

We're trying something different and calling this our first homecoming episode.  Flannery returns to Concord High for the first time in almost 10 years since graduating to catch us up on life after high school.  And what a life it is!  I knew when Flannery was a 5th grader in my class many years ago that she would change the world and she ABSOLUTELY is doing just that.

Many thanks to Mr. Canale for his recommendation of today's guest.  Emilio's laser focus on his goals - both short and long term - really impressed Mr. Canale when Emilio was in his class last year.  The sharing of his story also reveals that Emilio is an honorable young man of remarkable character.

This episode's guest is the epitome of dedication and commitment.  As if playing football for all four years of his high school career wasn't enough, Jacob decided to join the marching band as well! 

This episode features a guest who returns from season 1.  Connor joined RiZing Tide last year as an 8th grader with questions about high school life.  Now, two months into his freshman year, we catch up with Connor who has jumped into the world of Concord High School with both feet.
