RLCC Daily Devotions

Wake Up to Righteousness ⏰
Scripture: “Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God.” — 1 Corinthians 15:34
Explanation: The resurrection calls us to wake up from our spiritual complacency. We must not allow our culture, or the world, to deceive us into thinking that all that matters is to eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die! The reality of the resurrection, both of Jesus and of our future resurrection when He appears again, should transform how we live. Knowing that everything we do now in the name of the Lord is never vain, we must stand firm and continue serving God with devotion and dedication. 🌟
Personal Application: You must awake from apathy, and let the resurrection motivate you to live a dedicated servant life. Jesus didn’t die and rise again just to forgive our sins; He rose again to give us purpose and hope, not just for the future but starting now in the present. The resurrection gives us courage for our vocation in Christ. ✝️
Reflection Questions: 1) Are there areas in your life where you have become complacent or apathetic? 2) How can you more intentionally live for Christ today? 3) In what practical ways can you “wake up” to the reality of Christ's resurrection in your daily life? Devotional 4: The Defeat of Death 💀
Scripture: “The last enemy to be destroyed is death.” — 1 Corinthians 15:26
Explanation: Through His resurrection, Jesus has begun the defeat of the last enemy—death. Though we still experience physical death, it no longer holds the power it once did. We know that one day, we too will rise again. 🎉
Personal Application: When we face the death of a loved one or our own mortality, we can find comfort in the victory Christ secured for us in the resurrection. Death will soon lose its sting; now we are free to live with the assurance of our resurrection through Christ. 🌿
Reflection Questions:1) How does knowing that death is in the process of being defeated change the way you view your own mortality? 2) How can you find peace and comfort when faced with the loss of a loved one because of the resurrection of Jesus? 3) In what ways can you share the hope of eternal life with others who are grieving or afraid of death? Devotional 3: Mission with Courage 🚀Scripture: “I face death every day—yes, just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — 1 Corinthians 15:31Explanation: Paul was willing to risk everything because he knew that the resurrection of Jesus changed everything. His courageous commitment to the mission was rooted in the certainty of eternal life. We too can live boldly, knowing that our labor for Christ is never in vain. 🌍Personal Application: The mission of the gospel is costly, but it's worth it. We are called to share the hope of Christ regardless of opposition or difficulty. Remember, the resurrection guarantees that eternal life is real, and that gives us the courage to keep pressing forward. 🔥Reflection Questions:

1. What sacrifices have you made for the sake of the gospel?
2. What fears hold you back from boldly sharing the hope of Christ?
3. How can you live more courageously in your mission for Jesus this week?

Devotional 2: Living Under His Reign 👑Scripture: “For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.” — 1 Corinthians 15:25Explanation: Jesus is reigning now—His resurrection was not just a past event but a declaration of His ongoing rule. As our King, He is sovereign over all things, including our personal lives. 🏰Personal Application: This means we must surrender every area of our lives to His lordship. Our thoughts, choices, relationships, and actions should reflect His reign in our lives. Let’s not compartmentalize Christ; He is Lord of all. 🙏Reflection Questions:

1. Are there any areas of your life where you have not fully surrendered to Jesus' lordship?
2. How can you intentionally submit to Jesus as King in your daily routines?
3. What would it look like for you to live as though Jesus truly reigns over all?

Devotional 1: A Living Hope ✨Scripture: “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” — 1 Corinthians 15:20Explanation: Jesus’ resurrection is the firstfruits—the first of many who will rise again. This means His victory over death is the guarantee that we too will experience new life. We live with the assurance that, just as He rose, we will rise as well. 🌱Personal Application: When we face uncertainty, loss, or even fear of death, we can rest in the hope of eternal life with Christ. His resurrection is the foundation of our faith, giving us confidence in the midst of trials. 💪Reflection Questions:

1. How does the resurrection of Jesus change the way you face challenges today?
2. In what areas of your life do you need to live more confidently in the hope of the resurrection?
3. How can you remind yourself daily of the living hope you have in Christ?

📖 Devotional 6: “We Are to Be Pitied”📜 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:19“If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.”🔍 Explanation: If there is no resurrection, then Christianity is a cruel joke. 🤡 Believers who suffer, sacrifice, and endure for Christ would be pitiable fools. 😢 But Paul declares this only to show how vital and real the resurrection is. 💥💯💡 Personal Application: Your hope is not limited to this life. ⏳🌌 Because Jesus lives, you have an eternal future worth every sacrifice now. 🕊️🏆 Keep going. Your labor in the Lord is not in vain, and your hope will not disappoint. 💪🌅🧠 Reflection Questions:

1. 🔍 Are you living for this life only, or for eternity?
2. 🛍️ What sacrifices are you making that only make sense in light of resurrection hope?
3. 🌠 How can you encourage others to live with eyes fixed on eternity?

📖 Devotional 5: “You Are Still in Your Sins”📜 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:17“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.”🔍 Explanation: The resurrection is not just a hopeful ending—it’s essential to your salvation. 🎯 Without it, the cross is incomplete, and sin still has the final word. ❌⚰️ Christ’s resurrection is the proof that your sins are truly forgiven. ✅✝️💡 Personal Application: Because Jesus rose, your sins no longer define you. 🆓🕊️ You are forgiven, free, and made new. 🌱 Don’t live as though you’re still bound by guilt or shame. Walk in the freedom that the resurrection brings. 🚶‍♂️🌅🧠 Reflection Questions:

1. 🪞 Are you living like someone whose sins have been fully forgiven?
2. 🎒 What old guilt do you need to release in light of Christ’s resurrection?
3. 📣 How can you share this hope with others who still feel trapped by sin?

📖 Devotional 4: “We Are Found to Be False Witnesses”📜 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:15“More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead.”🔍 Explanation: If Jesus didn’t rise, then Paul and the apostles were liars—or at best, deceived. 😔 Worse, they would have been misrepresenting God. ⚠️ That’s a serious accusation. But it only makes sense if the resurrection didn’t happen. Paul is sure it did. 💪✝️💡 Personal Application: Your witness matters. 📣 When you testify that Jesus rose again, you are declaring the truth about God’s power and purpose. 🌍⚡ Stand firm in this truth. Don’t let culture or doubt silence your voice. 🛡️🗣️🧠 Reflection Questions:

1. 🙈 Do you ever hesitate to share the truth of the resurrection? Why?
2. 🧱 What would it mean for your faith if you discovered it was based on a lie?
3. 💬 How can you grow more confident in telling others about the risen Christ?

📖 Devotional 3: “Our Preaching Is Useless”📜 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:14“And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”🔍 Explanation: Paul doesn’t soften the implications. If Jesus is still in the grave, every sermon, every testimony, every act of faith is pointless. 🎤❌ The gospel hinges on the resurrection. 🧱💡 Personal Application: You need to know that your faith is not based on wishful thinking. 🧠 It rests on a historical, life-altering reality: Jesus is alive. 🕊️🌅 That truth gives meaning to every step you take in obedience to Him. 👣🙌🧠 Reflection Questions:

1. 🧐 How does the resurrection make your faith meaningful?
2. 🧱 In what ways would your life look different if Jesus had not risen?
3. 🪨 How can you be more intentional about anchoring your daily walk in this truth?

📖 Devotional 2: “Then Not Even Christ Has Been Raised”📜 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:13“If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.”🔍 Explanation: Paul draws a bold line: if resurrection is impossible, then Christ Himself did not rise. He won’t allow a partial belief. You can't believe in Jesus' resurrection while denying the future resurrection of believers. It’s all or nothing. ⚖️✝️💡 Personal Application: You can’t afford a halfway faith. 🚫🌓 If Christ didn’t rise, He is no Savior, and you are without hope. 😔 But because He did, your future is secure. 🔒🌅 Let this truth fuel your worship, your prayers, and your courage. 🙌🙏🔥🧠 Reflection Questions:

1. 🤔 Have you ever treated the resurrection as a “side issue” in your faith?
2. ❤️ What difference does it make to you personally that Christ truly rose from the dead?
3. 🕊️ How might a deeper conviction in this truth change your attitude toward suffering or death?
