Joseph Matheatau is one of the world's first blind baristas working at a coffee shop in South Africa. The coffee shop is part of Kaleidoscope - the Institute of the Blind in South Africa, operating since 1881. Blindiana Barista Coffee shop and Museum has South Africa’s first blind barista and offers training to visually impaired people. They also have their own custom coffee roast blend called the Blindiana Blend. #RNIBConnect

There's been success for blind and partially sighted campaigners against the use of A-Boards in our towns and streets. In York, the council there are planning to ban them for one year starting next February to find out the impact on local businesses. Campaigners have been telling #TheWeeklyConnect about the successes, while visually impaired people elsewhere in the country talk about their frustrations of councils not listening to their concerns. #RNIBConnect
