The Auckland Triple Crown (ATC) is a three-day orienteering event hosted by the Auckland Orienteering Club over the King's Birthday weekend, featuring a combination of sprint, middle, and long-distance races across the Tamaki Makaurau region. Chloe Smith has had a 43-year career in the New Zealand screen industry. She has been involved in 47 major projects, including Academy Award winning films 'The Piano' (1993) and 'The Power of the Dog' (2021), and internationally renowned television series including 'Spartacus' (2010). She collaborated with American producers on 'Xena: Warrior Princess' (1995) and 'Hercules: The Legendary Journeys' (1995), helping establish world-class production and post-production facilities in New Zealand. She has worked to promote local talent and storytelling and has been a member of the Screen Production and Development Association New Zealand (SPADA) and Women in Film and Television New Zealand (WIFTNZ). Chloe Smith has been made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, and she spoke to Susana Lei'ataua.

The Loose Ends Project is a non-profit organization that matches volunteer crafters with unfinished textile projects. When someone passes away or becomes too ill to complete a craft, volunteers step in to finish the knitting, crocheting, or quilting so grieving families can keep the cherished keepsake. Executive Director, Co-Founder Masey Kaplan joined Susana Lei'ataua.

Former World Athletics discus champion Beatrice Faumuina has been made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (CNZM) for services to sport and governance. Faumuina became a household name in the 1990s, winning silver at the 1994 Commonwealth Games before winning a gold medal at the 1997 World Athletics Championships - a first for a New Zealander. Over her athletics career, she claimed back-to-back Commonwealth Games golds in 1998 and 2002 and competed at four Olympic Games. She was inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. Since retiring from competition in 2011 Faumuina embarked on a career spanning diplomacy, governance, and public service. She spoke to Susana Lei'ataua.

A very kiwi TV series about the adventures of a dinosaur called Kiri and her purple friend Lou is about to be released as a movie. Pitched at kids aged 3-7, Kiri and Lou is written and directed by feature film director Harry Sinclair and features the voices of performers Jemaine Clement and Olivia Tennet and music from Don McGlashan. Harry Sinclair spoke to Susana Lei'ataua about the movie, and the release in New Zealand this week of his latest series for pre-schoolers, Tralala.

Back for its third year, The Big Swim is a nationwide swimming challenge that gets Kiwis moving while raising funds for Coastguard - Aotearoa New Zealand's primary marine search and rescue organisation, powered by more than 2,000 volunteers. NZ Coastguard fundraising manager Ben Sinnamon joins Susana Lei'ataua.

Susan Hassall spent 46 years at Hamilton Boys' High School, becoming the first woman to be appointed headmaster at a boy's state school. Her contributions to education and the wider community were recognised with the Hamilton Kirikiriroa Medal by Hamilton City Council in 2024. Having been on the University of Waikato Council from 2016 and Pro-Chancellor since 2017, she was appointed Chancellor in 2025 and is a member of the University of Waikato Foundation. She contributed to the signing of a kawenata between Waikato-Tainui and the University of Waikato in 2025, setting a foundation for how they will work together on programmes supporting their strategic objectives.
