It's national suicide awareness month. Unfortunately we have some very somber stories to share with you all regarding veterans we lost to suicide this week. We are joined by Erick and Oliver who shares his story on his journey on the road to hope.

We are joined this week by Erick and JD. We tell the tale of a veteran who tried to commit suicide on the Galveston Causeway. Also, as we approach the anniversary of 9/11 we ask our vets in studio how that day changed them and put them on the road to where they are now.

Why is it so hard to get help from the VA for our Veterans? Then when you add Covid to the mix, it's dang near impossible. We give out our lifesaver awards to some lifesavers and we share the story of a real life A-Team and how they were awarded the Silver Star.

We dip into this past Thursday's Michael Berry Show to replay that announcement and the interviews with Mack and David that followed.

We are joined by Zack and Mike. Mike tells us about his journey on the road to hope and what Camp Hope means to him. We also tell the story of a special tactics Airman that earned him the Silver Star. Then we look at the use of the word "hero". Let's think about who we give that title to.

There's still a ways to go and hurdles to clear, but it's a step in the right direction. And we talk to Jimmy Sanchez. He runs a business that has come to the aid of Camp Hope on many occasions and a service you will most likely need at some point, hopefully no time soon.
