Poetry On Life

Roam like Tigers, Finish like Lions

Listen Later

Roam like tigers but

finish like lions

Is a Bedouin cry of old,

I’m told,

Stick to beaten paths,

perhaps

And, keep temptation on

hold.

Enchanting is the

mountain-top

Ecstasy of another kind,

A million slots all up

there

All in each one’s mind

Much like a Crossword

The clues are all there,

In that labyrinth we call

the Head

They lie hidden,

somewhere.

Contentment, lies within

us

Why then, the wild goose

chase,

As roam we do, and seek it

forever

In every other place.

Keep busy if its Happiness

you want

Maybe a mountain-climber’s

dream

But, on the ground a

“do-nothing-time”

Is the icing on the cake,

the heavenly Cream.

Sorry, for those who’ve

never done it

Try it and you will find,

The biggest thank you will

come to you

From your, awfully,

over-worked, distraught mind!!!
