In my continued lineup of stellar guests, I’m joined with Tourism Management student Callum Schofield, from Leeds Beckett University. He’s the host and creator of the Schofield Stories podcast. From actors, comedians, war veterans to athletes - Callum invites on anybody with a story to tell.

This time, the tables are turned as Callum tells me his story. Like myself, Callum was challenged by stuttering growing up. Today, he doesn’t let it hold him back any longer. What better way than to use just his voice, for anybody to hear, to dissolve his problem head on?

In an unintentionally befitting episode for this time of year, I'm joined with Chemistry student Arun Ramanathan, a member of the Imperial College Chamber Choir.

We dive into the art of using the human voice to stir emotions, tell a story - and sometimes in a completely different language.

Correction: when browsing the club's Discord server (which you can find at https://discord.gg/wFwAQ5a), I noticed a funny rule which said occasionally one person is removed at random from a group chat. I brought this up with Flo in the episode, who wasn't aware of such a rule. It turns out I was played by an xkcd comic strip (https://xkcd.com/2235/).

Rugby League or Rugby Union?

It's over to the pitch with Medical Biosciences student Lucy Hamer. She's the current Club Captain of the Imperial College Women's Rugby Club. We glimpse into the world of rugby, along with the team's activities domestically and abroad.  

In this episode I'm joined with Patrick Ken Kalonde. A man of action and a man of humble origins, Patrick hails from Malawi, and currently studies Geographical Information Sciences at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. 

He focuses on researching innovative methods that leverage big data to better understand, and eventually build, communities resilient to natural hazards- particularly flooding, which is a continual problem in his home country.

We spend the bulk of this episode discussing some of his research work prior to this: the use of drones to locate mosquito breeding sites in the mission to further reduce the spread of malaria.

As an Imperial College student, it would be remiss of me to not include the University College of London in this podcast :D
