In the Kingdom, obedience to the Lord comes before opportunity. And character matters over charisma.
In this episode of the Roar Rising Podcast, Heather Sudbrock speaks directly to Christian authors, podcasters, and purpose-driven entrepreneurs who feel the pull to grow their platform but wrestle with whether they're truly ready for the weight of that responsibility.
Too many are building visibility before they've built the inner foundation to carry it. Heather breaks down the essential difference between charisma and character, and why obedience must come before opportunity.
If you've been asking questions like:
Am I ready to lead with spiritual maturity, or am I striving for significance?
Is this platform something God called me to build or something I'm using to fill a void?
How do I know the difference between ambition and assignment?
This episode will give you clarity, conviction, and comfort.
You'll walk away understanding:
Why true impact can't be manufactured by talent alone
How God uses the hidden seasons to prepare you for public purpose
The dangers of bypassing the sanctification process in pursuit of success
This message is for those who are called to create with eternal impact, not just chase influence. If you're ready to build a message-based platform rooted in obedience, integrity, and anointing, this episode will meet you exactly where you are.

Hey Kingdom Creatives,
If you've ever wrestled with your identity, wondered if your story really matters, or felt stuck trying to move forward after pain—especially while building your business or ministry—this episode is for you.
Today, I'm walking you through the story of Esther—not just as inspiration, but as a Kingdom strategy. Because knowing who you are as a daughter of God changes everything about how you show up in business, how you share your message, and how you lead with purpose.
Fear, insecurity, and trauma don't just affect your personal life—they show up in your pricing, your offers, your content, and how confidently you position yourself. But like Esther, you've been positioned for such a time as this—and obedience is your breakthrough.
If you're ready to break the silence, rise up in obedience, and build what God has placed on your heart with boldness, you're not alone. Join the movement and get equipped at ResistAndRoar.com.
Your story is the strategy. Your voice is the vessel. And your obedience is the key. Let's step into it—together.
In this episode, I'm sharing a powerful story about stepping into your God-given purpose—even when fear screams louder than faith. Join me as I unpack the story of Esther and how her obedience, even in discomfort, positioned her to fulfill a divine assignment. If you've been sitting on a book, an offer, or a message because it feels too big or too risky, this conversation is for you.
I'll challenge you to stop hiding behind busyness, confront the fears that are silencing your voice, and recognize the wilderness season for what it truly is: preparation for your promised platform. You'll also hear why community is essential, why your voice matters, and why now is the time to move—even if it's messy. Let's rise, roar, and walk boldly into what He's calling us to do.

Are you stuck in a season that feels more like survival than purpose?
You know God has called you to more, but instead, you're circling the same wilderness. You're praying, waiting, and wondering when the breakthrough will come… but deep down, you sense He's already asked you to move. In this episode, I'm speaking to the woman who feels silenced, stalled, or spiritually stifled—trapped in a place that once felt safe but now feels like a cage.
If you've been hiding in the familiar, avoiding the discomfort of growth, or shrinking your voice to fit spaces God never called you to stay in, this conversation is your turning point. I'll expose the lies that keep us bound in comfort and activate the truth that sets us free.
You'll walk away with clarity on why healing is required before rising, how to boldly step into your calling, and what it means to raise your roar.
This isn't just a motivational moment—it's an invitation to join the Roar Rising Collective, where you'll find the mentorship, community, and strategy to finally move forward and walk fully in your Kingdom purpose.
🎙️ If you're ready to stop waiting and start rising, this is your episode.
In this episode, I unpack how our "comfort bubbles" act as self-built shields that keep us from fully stepping into the calling God has for us. We will explore the spiritual dangers of staying cozy in those zones—how they can lead to stalled growth and quiet disobedience. Drawing on biblical stories and personal experiences, I guide you to spot your comfort bubble, weigh what obedience costs, and take concrete steps to burst free so you can walk confidently into your divine purpose.
PS. As I mentioned in the last episode's show notes, I have wrestled with the renaming of this podcast. But I think I finally have it! Roar Rising. What do you think? It's time to step out of your comfort bubble and roar.
If you are finding these episodes encouraging, helpful, or inspiring, I would love to ask you to take a moment to subscribe, leave a comment or review, and share with a friend! If you are a content creator, you understand how helpful that is, and if not, it is so helpful in scaling and reaching more for impact and transformation.
Takeaways
Comfort bubbles can suffocate our obedience to God. We often protect our comfort bubbles at all costs. Not every peaceful place is our promised land. Comfort can numb us to God's voice and conviction. Obedience often requires stepping out of our comfort zones. We must be willing to pay the price for obedience. Clarity comes after obedience, not before. God calls us to a battlefield, not a padded playpen. We need to identify what we're protecting in our comfort bubbles. Taking one step towards obedience can lead to fulfillment.
