Have you ever been confused with so many types of squashes? Summer squash, winter squash, butternut squash, spaghetti squash, or don’t know the name squash…As winter is here already, we’re learning to bake a winter squash today!
When I was younger, I didn’t really like winter squashes. I remember I couldn’t even tell the names of different squashes. I thought they were weird pumpkins. But in Canada, squashes are very common, especially winter squashes. Gradually, I learned the names of various types, and last year I had a chance to taste roasted acorn squash with maple syrup at a friends’ home dinner. I liked it so much and it caught my attention ever since. My friend told me how to make it at home, and I have made it for families after that. Why do I like it? It’s really simple and easy to make. Plus, wikipedia says winter squash is a low-calorie food and a good source of complex nutritions. Let’s have a listen together!
