You know that feeling when you start dating someone who you share that intense physical chemistry with? That passion fuelled connection that feels incredible and its like a drug - you just can't get enough of that person...

How often have you allowed this chemistry to lead the relationship, to find yourself emotionally unsatisfied, knowing deep down you are not compatible outside of the bedroom. What would happen if you actually got to know someone before you dived into their pants. Could you hold out from having $ex before marriage? Well, today's guest, Rob Kowalski will have you thinking about this and so much more. 

I recently connected with Rob, a man who certainly grabbed my attention because of his strong beliefs and values when it comes to holding out from having $ex before marriage. Yes, you heard that right! Saving yourself for marriage - AKA the one.  Rob is the author of ‘The Truth About $ex’ & ‘Why Waiting Works’. He is also the Founder of CityFam, a non-profit organization whose mission is, changing lives through the power of community.

Rob is a self-proclaimed reformed bad boy, once the biggest stripper and nightclub promoter in his hometown of Baltimore. He had a radical life-changing encounter with Jesus that transformed him forever. In his book, Why Waiting Works, he explains ‘the $ex trap’ and how the problem starts with the differences in what men are looking for versus what women are looking for in dating and relationships. 

This is a very fascinating interview and Rob breaks it down for you today. He shares his views around $ex and how it gets mistaken for love because of the hormone and chemical we release, known as oxytocin, AKA the love hormone, which facilitates bonding and connection. Rob believes that once we release this hormone, before you know it, we are stuck or connected to someone. Oxytocin affects males and females differently and Rob is able to explain this, especially how our brains are wired differently SO rushing into $ex too quickly with someone will make you miss red flags with people. This is such a great and fun conversation.
