Robert talks with John about his audition for CHIPS, his difficulty riding the police motorcycle, how CHIPS was like a Western and the dangerous moments that happened for real shooting CHIPS. Robert also chats about his relationship with Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox, what it was like to have his real wife cast as his wife in CHIPS, his life previous to being cast in CHIPS and knowing the series would be ending. Robert also talks about directing CHIPS. Plus his unpleasant experience working with Paul Sorvino on the spinoff of Streets of San Francisco and so much more.
