  • DRIVETRAIN TOGETHER AGAIN COLLECTIVE
It is always a pleasure to have creative natives from Detroit and with
Derrick Thompson AkA DRIVETRAIN with us for the collective live stream program. Drivetrain, Derrick Thompson entered into the musical fray aged eight, while taking drum lessons at school. Amazed at the notion of being able to make music by beating on things without harassment from a teacher was something that kept him pursuing music. Aged 13, Thompson acquired his first bass guitar. He spent countless hours mastering the instrument. His early influences were Stanley Clarke and Louis Johnson.
Two years later, Thompson jumped to the Stratocaster guitar. Shortly thereafter, he found himself playing on stage in rock bands. At the same time, the buzz on electronic music had started in Detroit. Thompson liked the idea of being able to be his own one man band. He invested in synthesizers, samplers, and recording studio hardware, and also purchased a set of turntables and a mixer. He then began DJing at parties, weddings and soon, clubs.
By this time, Thompson's musical direction was clear. He went solo and established his own record label in 1990, Soiree Records, mainly focussing on deep house. In the following years, Thompson expanded his horizons by releasing several records on European labels such as Plink Plonk, Basic Beat, Mr. C's End Recordings, Kontraband, Slip 'N' Slide, and many others. In 1997 he launched Xplor Music, a Detroit-techno oriented label.
Soiree Records International has not only provided an outlet for Thompson to release his own material, but has also become a musical launch pad for artists throughout the globe. The worldwide vinyl and digital distribution of Soiree Records International has earned Thompson an abundant amount of respect and notoriety in the industry.
Thompson expanded his growing influences even further. With an endless repertoire of quality and groundbreaking tracks, there is a continuous demand for Thompson from both major and independent labels around the world.
Behind the decks, Derrick Thompson aka Drivetrain has electrified dance floors around the planet for more than two decade. His dynamic and always energetic mixing technique along with his undeniably impeccable track selection and skills has ignited crowds at the world's most highly acclaimed clubs, festivals and venues. Thompson passionate and dedicated work ethic has not only validated him as an international success but has earned him the utmost respect as a musical powerhouse. To this day his relentless endeavors and hard working mindset keeps him forever focused on producing and presenting quality music reflecting his roots.

  • PLURAL / TOGETHER AGAIN COLLECTIVE
Our rebel talent from Ohio, throws down a funky techno live performance James Johnson Jr AKA Plural is one exceptionally talented electronic music producer, composer and DJ known across the world for his hard techno sound. His calm demeanour belies the massive amounts of energy he creates in his highly technical DJ sets, and the ethereal beauty of his live performances with many top-flight DJs swearing by his output, dropping his tracks relentlessly throughout their sets. He grew up in the 80’s listening mostly to soul, RnB and hip-hop. He knew he wanted to follow a musical path, but because he couldn’t rap or sing and was more interested in the beats he decided to become a DJ. His early inspiration came from amazing artists like Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson, Herby Handcock and Public Enemy. after becoming a DJ and discovering so many more styles of music out there, especially techno, it was Jeff Mills, Claude Young, DJ Stingray and The Horrorist to name a few that held his awe.

  • CLAIRE GRANLUND / TOGETHER AGAIN COLLECTIVE
Our Amsterdam based DJ & producer Claire Granlund consumes frequencies from a wide plethora of genres, rhythms and sounds. Her club sets centre around dub, break beats, acid and techno sound. She sequences records in her own deviating and adventurous flow referring to it as "dark scents with no fixed destination". This alludes to a sensation that can not be seen or touched but only experienced. In 2020 she became a resident at the Decisive Series by Roberto Q. Ingram, in her bi-montly show she explores experimental sounds on a wider spectrum. While hosting and curating a Decisive live stream in the Netherlands for Amsterdam Dance Event 2020, she was inspired to set up her own independent music platform under the name SISUKAS. June 19th she will host her first official SISUKAS event with a strong female line-up and a collaboration with a Dutch design duo Rive Roshan bringing the worlds of art and music together.

More details about Kat Kat Tat!
After revolutionizing Argentina's vibrant underground for nine years, K ΛT KΛT TΛT explores her native Berlin since 2013. Spending half of her life writing about electronic music, organising events and djing, it just seemed natural to come back to where it all started.
Being introduced to synthesizer music as a small child, she spent her earliest years in the laboratory with her dad, observing oscillators and inhaling soldering fumes. The outcome, some home-built speakers and an abstract synesthesic idea of music, influenced her so heavily she did not feel at home musically until she stumbled into her first illegal rave fifteen years down the line.
Getting completely immersed immediately, she ended up becoming an electronic music journalist working for publications like Raveline, Meoko, WKD, and Mixmag. Leading writer teams around the world in different editorials, traveling huge raves and underground spots, and feeling and spreading the vibes of the habitants and birthplaces of scenes and sounds, she picked up the basic virtues: freedom of expression, connective elements and innovative sounds are the underlying motives of her DJing.
Her sets comprise vanguard tendencies; finding a raw and uncompromisingly experimental and explorative approach to playing vinyl only is paramount to her celebration of electronic music culture, intertwining future-positivite house, electro, rave, breaks and techno with her firm, investigative, global roots.
Moving on from organizing Trashmission, Trash Republique and Blue Sunday in her spiritual homeland Argentina to reinserting herself into the German powerhouse Berlin and producing event rows like Post Acid Disco Zoo, Divas and Origin, K ΛT KΛT TΛT let all her experience culminate in the arty event row ̶̶ɯ̶̶̶o̶̶̶̶p̶̶̶̶u̶̶̶ɐ̶̶ɹ, celebrating those subcultures that respire her free and open-minded spirit.
The pandemia turned out to be one of her most productive times as she managed to come up with a new project called Release Day, a podcast about female*LTBGQ+*migrant*PoC producers. The project got picked up by JUMP, a mentorship programme by the European Union, and gets sponsored by Draußenstadt.
Whilst embarking on new adventures around the globe – djing in Latin America, Europe and the outer hebrides of this universe – K ΛT KΛT TΛT continues to thrill with her weekly radio show Pandemia Global every Saturday at 16 hs CET on Alter Sapukai Radio. She also teaches females how to DJ with vinyl and opens minds and broaden horizons with her photographic interventions.

What matters is the artist's ambition to present himself through his unique musical signature. “
