Robin & Jane are back in the stalls — and this time they’re at Belfast’s Grand Opera House for the Northern Ireland premiere of Judy – End of the Rainbow.

Running for just four nights, this award-winning play takes us beyond the famous voice, dazzling performances and Hollywood glamour to ask: who was the real Judy Garland?

Set around Garland’s legendary Talk of the Town concerts in London, End of the Rainbow offers a raw, funny and moving glimpse of the woman behind one of the most iconic stars of stage and screen.

⭐ West End star Anna-Jane Casey takes on the formidable role of Judy Garland, following an acclaimed career that has included West Side Story, Chicago, Cats, Fawlty Towers and Follies.

She is joined by Will O’Connell as Judy’s loyal pianist Anthony, Darragh Shannon as her new fiancé Mickey Deans, and William Morgan as the Radio Interviewer.

And, of course, there’s the music. The production features some of Garland’s most unforgettable songs, including When You’re Smiling, The Man That Got Away, Just in Time, All By Myself and the immortal Over the Rainbow.

The original production of End of the Rainbow became a West End and Broadway smash hit, earning nominations for three Tony Awards and four Olivier Awards, including Best New Play.

One of the world’s best-loved operas, Carmen tells the powerful story of a passionate, intelligent woman determined to live and love on her own terms.

It’s a tale of seduction, obsession, freedom and tragedy, set to some of the most instantly recognisable music in opera. With the famous Habanera, the rousing Toreador Song and a stage filled with drama and fiery emotion, Northern Ireland Opera makes a major return to the Grand Opera House with this brand-new production. In the latest episode, Robin & Jane head to Belfast’s Lyric Theatre to see Life & Times of Paddy Armstrong, the acclaimed one-man show returning to the Lyric following a sold-out run.

Fifty years after his wrongful conviction, Paddy Armstrong looks back on a life shaped by one of the most notorious miscarriages of justice in British and Irish history. Now 74 and facing his twilight years, Paddy wrestles with a thousand turbulent memories, reliving a journey filled with injustice, resilience, family, forgiveness — and, perhaps unexpectedly, plenty of humour.

Inspired by Paddy Armstrong’s memoir, Life After Life: A Guildford Four Memoir, the production stars Don Wycherley as Paddy, bringing unflinching honesty, pathos, warmth and humour to the story of a man failed and scarred by a flawed system, yet refusing to allow that injustice to define him.

It’s a tender, moving and often hilarious testament to the resilience of the human spirit — and to the restorative power of freedom, love, family and the ordinary pleasures of everyday life.

Robin and Jane are back in the stalls for a night of glamour, romance, comedy and classic Cole Porter as they review High Society at Belfast’s Grand Opera House.

Following its sell-out London season, this lavish production brings a glorious dose of Golden Age musical theatre to Belfast, led by Helen George (Call the Midwife) as glamorous socialite Tracy Lord. She’s joined by an impressive cast including Freddie Fox, Julian Ovenden, Carly Mercedes Dyer, Nigel Lindsay and Malcolm Sinclair.

With a 28-strong cast, live orchestra and a score packed with Cole Porter favourites – including Just One of Those Things, Let’s Misbehave, I Love Paris, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Well, Did You Evah? and True Love – there’s plenty for Robin and Jane to get their teeth into.
