We draw on the life of Robin Williams, one of our greatest comics, to explore how he dealt with his own challenges, giving us courage to face our own.

Robin Williams did suffer from chronic depression and substance abuse problems over the decades but this did not contribute to his death.  It was not until later it was learned that Robin was suffering from a degenerative brain disease, Lewy body dementia.

Susan Schneider, William’s widow, has given us precious insight into how this disease entered into Robin’s life and led to his death in a documentary called Robin’s Wish. 

Robin was a gift and words can never express the true appreciation of what he has given the world.
