This week we are discussing Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 satirical masterpiece ‘Robocop.’ Starring Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, and Kurtwood Smith, this film shows what happens when a terminally wounded cop returns to the force as a powerful cyborg haunted by submerged memories. We lament the lack of these satires in today’s cultural landscape, debate whether Carson can wear a Robocop t-shirt or have a Robocop action figure, invent a new game, officially declare a new catch phrase for the show, and have a REAL good time.
