As a Television and Radio Personality in Eastern Canada, her persona is admired by many, and it’s thanks to her talent, hard work and lovable persona that has propelled this British Lass to succeed in North America. Orla graduated from Bournemouth University, England, with an Honours degree in Hospitality Management with International Marketing. Orla's training in the UK from an early age in the world of theatre, voice and dance and then in Canada at the National Film Acting School and Acting School of Montreal helped her excel in her abilities and break into the Industry successfully. Orla's voice has been heard as an announcer on CHOM 97.7 FM, CJAD 800 AM, TSN Sports, Q92 FM and Virgin Radio. Orla has established a huge following in Montreal with over 17,000 people following her on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
For five years Orla was the fun, effervescent and glamorous co-host with Mose Persico, and Fashion Reporter on "Entertainment Spotlight" CTV. Orla’s love for Fashion spilled over into print media as Fashion Editor of Yu Magazine. Orla also hosted her own food and drink radio talk show for 3 years, "Table Talk" on AM 940 Montreal’s Greatest Hits’. With a business mind and determination to use her assets Orla created her own voice-over company where she is the voice talent for corporations worldwide, producing and editing voice scripts in her home studio. She is the English Voice for Air France, the narrator on the popular kids computer game of "Chuggington" and the voice over for many other clients across Canada such as Just For Laughs, Porsche, Jaguar, and many more all found on her website www.orlaj.com. Orla hosts many events every year from corporate functions, to award gala’s and Fundraising events.
Over the last few years Orla has filmed roles in several Hollywood movies shot here in Montreal, "Bad Santa 2" with Billy Bob Thornton, "Arrival" starring Amy Adams, Brad's Status opposite Michael Sheen, and a small role in the X-Men movie The Dark Phoenix. Orla also had a role on The Bold Type, an ABC Sparks TV Series filmed in Montreal. Orla cohosted "The Parenting Show" with Andrea Elias on CJAD 800 am and is now successfully cohosting the lifestyle show “Now Trending” with Andrea.
