As Pastor Richard speaks from the heart he reminds us that life isn't just a line where we can plan things out but that God will direct our steps and it's only by looking back we can see what God has done by leading us in a path that we would not go.

To be like Jesus, we need to be about the Father's business, which is going to all the world and preaching the gospel. That means not just our neighbors and our coworkers but also the whole world, to the unreached and the discarded. Let us be like Jesus and work on reaching the entire world.

Pastor Richard reminds us that whatever do, or whatever we have done, Jesus not only set a place for us at His table but He invites us to join Him. If Jesus did that for us we need to invite other people to join us at our table and build community with them.

If Jesus is our Rabbi than we need to not just do the things He said but we need to live the way He lived, and Jesus made time to be with His community, with His disciples, and with His Father. As we begin this year Pastor Richard reminds us that we need to do life together, and doing life together isn't just greeting each other on Sunday morning. It is about being involved in each other's lives.

Biblical judgment is not about condemnation but about discerning truth, promoting righteousness, restoring those in error, and ensuring the holiness of the church.

It is easy to hear that God is with us, but harder to remember. God is not so distant that He doesn’t understand us in our pain and in our hardships. But God is ever present, no matter what is going on in our lives. If you can remember that it will change your life because 1) you know that you’re not alone and 2) whenever you need Him, He isn’t coming from afar He is right there. We just have to become aware of Him.
