Ep37 Rock Back and Gain Perspective
Hello and Welcome to the Way of the Emotional Warrior Podcast. My name is Kai Ehnes and today we will be answering the question of: Why am I not moving forward?
Do you ever notice that you are simply not moving forward in your life? It always really frustrated me to feel like I was stuck. To be fair nothing was really wrong, it just felt like there was no forward movement or momentum. Generally, I have the type of personality that likes for things to move forward. Sure, I don’t like or want things to be out of control…I mean who does? However, within the guardrails of a “Good Life” I certainly appreciate forward movement.
What do I mean by forward movement? I view it as a type of improvement. One of the theories that I advocate weekly is called kaizen. It is a Japanese Business philosophy that translates to continuous improvement. I think it is super rewarding and gratifying to improve yourself. This is not based on competition but rather an intrinsic exploration and actualization of yourself. For example, one can work on their negative emotions. The ones that are below the vibrational level of 200. They do not serve your growth. They bring your energy and vibration down and now it becomes increasing more difficult to improve oneself. So, aim for the emotions above the 200 level.
They are: Courage at 200
Neutrality at 250
Willingness at 310
Acceptance at 350
Reason at 400
Love at 500
Joy at 540
Peace at 600
Enlightenment at 700 to 1000
Just looking at this list feels good. Just let possibility enter your mindset. So, those kaizen small steps of continuous improvement can help you expand your way of thinking and interacting with the world.
The only comparison you should worry about is yourself and even that is unnecessary. When you live in a state of Flow, doing what you like, there is nothing to compare to. You are doing your “thing” the way you want to do it.
In that state you are vibrating at least at 500. That has built into it a momentum that keeps everything moving forward. So, you can see that you are already Not Stuck.
I heard the following: Before you move forward, maybe you need to take a step back and gather some perspective. In that case, not moving forward is by design, a way for you consider if you are moving forward in the right direction or if you need to change course.
What about the Neuroscience?
According to neuroscientist, David Eagleman – not only does adventuring make you interesting, you know the type of person people are drawn to, but it also makes your smarter, even more productive at work (!!!!) and more attractive to the opposite sex.”
In a psychological study conducted at Indiana University it was found that by merely imagining we’re on an adventure, we improve our creativity and self-awareness.
So when you step back or rock back and allow for a new perspective to emerge think adventure. Doing something really cool. That will awaken your creativity and self awareness. Imagine the possibilities.
Emotional Warriors not only know about this but practice this quite regularly. This rocking back to get a new and different perspective is a wonderful skill to add to your emotional toolbag.
The expanse of possibilities can be scary but if you know that you can practice a technique of higher vibration to channel your forward moving energy into becoming an asset for your own adventure.
Peace
End: I hope you enjoyed this episode and I will see you next time around…take care.
