Every hero has an origin story. This message explores who Jesus is and why He came from a particular family tree.

Part 17, Romans 8:29-39. We hope to grow in our relationship with Christ, but what happens if we don't? Are we safe in God's love and grace, or can we be separated from God's love?

Part 16, Romans 8:18-28. We tend to shy away from anything that sounds like suffering, but Paul turns it around and connects suffering with glory. How can we respond to suffering in a healthy way?

Part 15, Romans 8:5-17. We know we should walk according to the Spirit, but how? The answer begins, not with us, but with God: if God has done so much in and for us, then how can we respond?

Part 14, Romans 8:1-4. Paul says there is "no condemnation" for those who are in Christ Jesus, but what does He mean in light of the story of Romans, and what does it mean for my life?

Part 13, Romans 7:9-25. The Law is visible throughout Romans. It is God's good gift, given for a specific purpose, but are we using it properly? We'll see how to use--and how not to use--God's Law.

Part 11, Romans 6:15-23. Having explained how Paul is not emphasizing Grace too much, Paul explains how he's not emphasizing Law too little when he says, "you are not under the Law, but under Grace."

Part 10, Romans 6:1-14. After discussing God's grace, Paul addresses why we shouldn't continue in sin, asking a question similar to one in Romans 3. We discuss the dual errors of legalism and license, and how to find the better way.

Part 9, Romans 5:12-21. This passage has a lot of 50¢ words, and it can be easy to miss why Paul explains how Sin & Death, Gift & Life came into the world. Simply put, so we can have power to live, truly live, today.
