On this week's episode, the Ghost speaks with actor Jose Maria Yazpik about his return to the role of Amado Carrillo Fuentes on Narcos: Mexico's final season, debuting today on Netflix. Yazpik details the complicated situation of identifying with a real life character who did, and was a part of, many things that were evil and violent. 

The character of Fuentes was first seen in the third and final season of the original Narcos series. On Narcos: Mexico he starts off simply as a pilot before rising to the top of the ranks in season three. Yazpik discusses the impact that drugs and corruption have had in his home country of Mexico, as well as the love and respect he has for it. 

The actor gives a sneak peek into his role in Apple TV+'s upcoming series Now and Then. He also has a supporting role in the upcoming film The Jesuit, opposite Brian Cox and Tim Roth with a screenplay by Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver, First Reformed). as well as in Eureka, where he co-stars alongside Viggo Mortensen.

Welcome back to the Rock 'n Roll Ghost Podcast. On this week's episode, the Ghost speaks with actor Eric Roberts about his role in the new film Hard Luck Love Song, as well as his incredible 40+ year career in entertainment. 

Roberts discusses working on such films as The Specialist (with Sylvester Stallone, James Woods, Sharon Stone and Rod Steiger), Runaway Train (with Jon Voight and Rebecca Demornay), and goes in depth about his work on two of his most well known films, Star 80 (with Mariel Hemingway) and The Pope of Greenwich Village (with Mickey Rourke), revealing the idea of a sequel he and Rourke might do, as well as the director who was fired from the original before the film began rolling. 

He also touches on his relationship with Rourke, citing his performance in Barfly as his favorite of his friend. Additionally, he recently wrapped a role in Damien Chazelle's (Whiplash, La La Land) upcoming star heavy Hollywood extravaganza, Babylon (also featuring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie). 

Roberts' joy is something quite amazing to bear witness to. He's especially proud of his stepson, musician Keaton Simons, who he describes as his favorite singer/songwriter. Simons will actually be a guest on a future episode of this show.

Welcome back to the Rock 'n Roll Ghost Podcast. On this week's episode, the Ghost speaks with actor Melora Walters about her role in the new film Hard Luck Love Song.

Walters has appeared in several of Paul Thomas Anderson's films, including Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Magnolia and The Master. Other credits include Venom, The Lovers, Short Term 12 and Cold Mountain. She also wrote and directed the 2018 film, Waterlily Jaguar, starring James LeGros, Mira Sorvino and Dominic Monaghan.

Currently residing in Los Angeles with hopes of moving back to New York City, Walters is also an artist and a poet. You can visit her website in the links section to see her artwork.

Welcome back to the Rock 'n Roll Ghost Podcast. On this week's episode, the Ghost speaks with filmmaker S.J. Chiro about her new film, East of the Mountains, starring Tom Skerritt (Top Gun, Alien). The film was adapted by Thane Swigart, from David Guterson's (Snow Falling on Cedars) novel of the same name. Chiro discusses the path that led her to the film, location shooting in Washington state, working with Skerritt (in what is officially his first lead role in his long and illustrious career) and co-stars Mira Sorvino and Annie Gonzalez, as well as wrapping the film up during Covid lockdown. 

Chiro also touches on her first film, Lane 1974, which starred Katherine Moennig (The L Word, Ray Donovan). East of the Mountains is having a small theatrical run and can also be found via video on demand (see links below). Lane 1974 is also available on video.

Welcome back to the Rock 'n Roll Ghost Podcast. On this week's episode, the Ghost speaks with filmmaker Joe Carnahan (Narc, The Grey, Smokin' Aces) about his newest film Copshop, as well as the forthcoming restored release of his debut film Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane.   

Carnahan discusses the behind the scenes issues on Copshop's release, including that the version in theaters now is not the version he cut, the film's lackluster marketing and his desire to get his edit of the film out for people to see. He also looks back to the making of Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane and his journey as a filmmaker from those halcyon early days, while also touching on what he is hoping to work on next.   

He also has several projects in various stages of development, including Graves, Xeno (co-written with Adam G. Simon and what was originally going to be a re-imagining of The Raid) and Leo from Toledo that he still wants to make with Mel Gibson in the lead.

Starring Andy Karl, Christina Ricci and Nora Arnezeder, Here After tells the story of Michael (Karl) who dies without being in love. In the afterlife, he's told by his counselor Scarlett (Ricci) that, in order to move on to heaven, he has to find love - something that proves harder than it seems. 

Greenberger discusses making Here After, his work in music, including music videos, and touches on his time before he began making his own films.
