Kupono Browne was a Freshman All-American at Stanford before the Cardinal announced an intention to cut the men's volleyball program two years ago. Browne, who hails from Honolulu, Hawaii, entered the transfer portal to check out his options — and then opted to transfer to BYU, even when Stanford reinstated the program a few months later.

The 6-foot-5 junior joined the Cougar Beat podcast to talk about his acclimation to Provo, playing several former teammates and coaches in the Cougars' final home match of the regular season, and BYU's two seniors that will be celebrated on Senior Night — including his slightly messier roommate and setter Heath Hughes.
