Jeff and I met YouTube couple Jeff & Steff from, “Jeff & Steff’s Excellent Adventure.” (2 ff's)

As fulltime RVers, we are members of RVillage, an online fun and friendly community of RVers. That’s how we originally met Jeff & Steff. Eventually we ended up staying in the same RV park, which led us to meeting in person.

Jeff & Steff live and travel fulltime in their RV and tell some great stories about their travels. To them, size matters! Listen as they talk about upgrading to a bigger fifth wheel to make living and traveling more comfortable. We did the same thing. Buying a brand new RV is an exciting and fun experience. However, for one man it was a rough road. We introduce you to Danny from Los Angeles, who tells you what he, and his wife, PJ, had to endure to get a brand new RV. Three of them were flawed and one was accidently wrecked. But, the dealer stepped up and Danny got his new motorhome that he and his family thoroughly enjoy.

Patti and I also give you an important tip about why you should fill your water tank when you arrive at an RV campsite or park. If you are going to boondock, you should travel with a full tank. We travel light with a small amount of water to get better fuel mileage. However, RV parks and campsites can suddenly turn off the water due to old pipes breaking or other issues. Be prepared.

We want to meet you at the Ohio RV Supershow, Presented by Progressive. The show goes from Wednesday January 4th thru Sunday the 8th at the I - X Center in Cleveland, Ohio. On Thursday November 8th, 2018, the most destructive wildfire in California's history occurred in Northern California’s Butte County.

Within 4 hours, the towns of Paradise and Concow were almost completely destroyed by the catastrophic wildfire. Over 85 people lost their lives. 18,000 structures burned to the ground.

Jeff and Patti met Scott and Lynn Taylor, at an RV resort in Palm Springs, California. For 25 years Scott and Lynn lived in Paradise, California and tell their story about how they were able to get out of the deadly path of the fire with their RV and a few possessions.

Their amazing story of leaving their home on a moment’s notice and eventually living in their RV is not to be missed.

There are many great events that take place around our country that are perfect for RVers as well as any traveler. In this episode we give you a list of 5 of the big events we think are easy to get to and are very fun. We advise you to book your campground early for these events.

1.   The Quartzsite Sports, Vacation and RV Show. January 21st to the 29th, 2023.

2.   The Western Winter Blast Pyrotechnics Show. February 16th in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

3.   Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Tuesday February 21st.

4.   The Fall Foliage Colors throughout New England. 14th Annual Stow, Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival. Sunday September 24th.

5.   The Albuquerque, New Mexico International Balloon Fiesta October 7th to the 15th. 2023 RV reservations will go on sale January 11, 2023, at 9:00am Mountain time.

We also ran into the “Harvest Hosts Sweethearts.” David and Michele Brown, were featured in our episode 39 podcast on a Zoom call. They actually met at a Harvest Host in Louisiana and eventually tied the knot. It’s a great story. We finally met them in person and sat down with this very happy couple to hear what they have been doing. They have some very good advice for you.

Ed Pardi and his wife Shirley Diamond started RVing four years ago when Ed was 79!! Ed started his very successful career in the car industry in his early 20's, then moved up to selling airplanes. Eventually he started his own company selling high end airplanes and jets. Yes, he piloted all of them. He flew all over the world and flew over everything from place to place. After Ed retired, he decided to travel in an RV to see all the places on the ground he missed. Listen as Ed describes what he chose to buy and how he did it. His stories about being on the road are very informative too. Learn how to avoid the two “H’s” in RVing. Ed proves that you’re never too old for a new adventure.

Patti and I are traveling to the southwest via Interstate Highway 40. Most of the western part of I-40 either parallels or overlays the Historic Route 66. Tucumcari, New Mexico, is part of that era and we stopped there for a night! It was a pleasure meeting this fascinating couple!
